(Australia-NewsWire.Com, August 20, 2012 ) Adelaide, South Australia -- As droughts across the U.S. continue to cause concerns, Japanese researchers have also reported the potential for El Nino weather patterns to grip areas from India to Australia in the coming months.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency released data last week showing that El Nino patterns were emerging, although they are unsure of how long or intense the weather situations will be as a result. Typically, during El Nino, there are severe drought conditions in Australia, and with the last El Nino in 1998, there were severe droughts throughout Australia.
The sentiments of impending drought because of El Nino were also echoed by the U.S. Climate Prediction Center, as they warned last week, with near certainty that El Nino conditions would be taking place globally over the next two months.
“We’ve seen a massive drought in the United States, and with the possibility of similar conditions in the United States, we’re seeing individuals and businesses already starting to make eco-friendly changes to cut down on their water usage,” said the owner of Maesbury Plumbers, a provider of plumbing services and plumbing supplies in Adelaide. “In fact, with the amount of environmental consciousness that we’re seeing around the world, even before the widespread droughts, we were seeing a big increase in people looking for eco-friendly plumbing supplies.”
Maesbury Plumbers in Adelaide offers a variety of eco-smart plumbing supplies, including water filtration systems, rain water harvesting systems, water audits to determine usage and solar-powered hot water systems.
“We’ve experienced droughts here in Australia over recent years, and there are steps that can be taken that are going to save water,” said the company owner. “We not only provided professional plumbing in Adelaide, but we also have the experience and supplies needed to make homes and offices more environmentally friendly when it comes to water usage. A little bit goes a long way, particularly during drought conditions.”
“Regardless of the effects El Nino may have on us here in Australia, it’s important to make your home more eco-smart with regard to water usage,” said the company owner. “It takes only a few simple steps to help your family or business save a lot of water, and that’s something we’re here to help our customers achieve, and the great thing about these eco-smart products and services is that you’re not only saving water, but you’re also saving money.”
